ABSTRACT
Introduction: Cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF) had become an international concern with the number of cases worldwide reached 50 million per year. One indication of hospitalization of Dengue patients was the amount of platelet decline, necessitating hospitalization. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional analysis of the retrospective study. These samples included 55 people, taken used consecutive sampling. Data was secondary data taken at the General Hospital Anutapura Palu form of the medical record. Statistical analysis used was Spearman Correlation Test. Results: The number of thrombocytopenia in the research had an average of 81 763 x 103 platelets / ml. The average the duration of treatment of dengue patients in this study was 5.64 days (3 to 10 days). Based on test results obtained statistic Spearman correlation coefficient r = -0.525, which means the strength of the relationship was moderate (r = 0.400-0.599). At the significant value of p = 0.000 results obtained showed that the correlation between trhombositopenia with the duration of treatment on adult patients was significant (p
