Latar Belakang : Infeksi saluran kemih (ISK) adalah infeksi yang terjadi di sepanjang jalan saluran kemih, termasuk ginjal itu sendiri akibat proliferasi suatu mikroorganisme. Penyakit infeksi salurah kemih terutama disebabkan oleh bakteri-bakteri gram negatif seperti Escherchia coli, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas, Proteus; gram positif seperti Staphylococcus aureus; dan beberapa fungi serta virus. &#13;
Tujuan Penelitian : Mengetahui sensitifitas bakteri penyebab ISK terhadap antibiotik  siprofloksasin di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Undata dan Rumah Sakit Umum Anutapura. &#13;
Metode Penelitian : Penelitian dilakukan secara analitik dengan pendekatan Cross sectional dengan mengambil sampel urin pancar tengah (midstream) pasien yang telah didiagnosis menderita ISK berdasarkan gejala klinis oleh dokter. Sampel tersebut kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam coolbox dan dikirim ke Laboratorium Biologi Molekuler dan Imunologi Bagian Mikrobiologi Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Hasanuddin untuk analisis antibiotik siprofloksasin. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Kirby-Bauer dengan pembacaan dan evaluasi kepekaan mengikuti petunjuk National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS).&#13;
Hasil Penelitian : Isolat yang sensitif terhadap siprofloksasin adalah sebanyak 46 isolat (82.1%), intermediat sebanyak 6 isolat (10.8%), serta resisten sebanyak 4 isolat (7.1%). Isolat yang resisten terhadap siprofloksasin yaitu 1 (satu) isolat E.aerogenea, 2 (dua) isolat K. pneumonia, serta 1 (satu) isolat P. vulgaris. sensitivitas intermediat terjadi pada 6 (enam) isolat dari bakteri E. coli serta 6 (enam) isolat S. liqufacieus. Bakteri A. calcoauetica dan E. agglomerans seluruh isolatnya masih menunjukkan sensitifitas terhadap siprofloksasin. &#13;

Kesimpulan : siprofloksasin masih memiliki sensitifitas yang tinggi yaitu 82,1%  terhadap infeksi saluran kemih di RSUD Undata dan RSU Anutapura.&#13;

Background : Urinary tract infection (UTI) is infection that found along the urinary tract, including kidney, because proliferation of microorganisms. UTI mostly caused by Gram negative bacterial such as Escherchia colli, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas, Proteus; Gram positive bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus; and some other fungi and viruses.&#13;
Aim :To know the sensitivity of the bacteries that caused UTI against Ciprofloxacin in Undata and Anutapura Hospital of Palu.&#13;
Method : This research held by collect midstream urine sample of patients who already diagnosed UTI by doctor according to clinical findings. Urine samples then sent into Molecular Biology and Immunology Laboratory of Microbiology Division Faculty of Medicine Hasanuddin University for antibiotic resistance analysis. Antibiotic resistance analysis used Kirby-Bauer National Committee  for Clinical Laboratory Standards (NCCLS) as the guideline.&#13;
Result :Ciprofloxacin-sensitive isolates are 46 isolates (82.1%), intermediate Ciprofloxacin-sensitive isolates are 6 isolates (10.8%), and Ciprofloxacin-resistant isolates are 4 isolates (7.1%). Ciprofloxacin-resistant isolates are 1 isolate of E. aerogenea, 2 isolates of K.pneumonia, anf 1 isolate of P. vulgaris. Intermediate Ciprofloxacin-sensitive isolates are 6 isolates of E. coli and 6 isolates of S. liqufacieus. A. calcoauetica and E. agglomerans are still in good sensitivity against Ciprofloxacin.&#13;

Conclusion : Ciprofloksaxin still has a high sensitivity is 82,1% of urinary tract in RSUD Undata dan RSU Anutapura.&#13;
