Latar belakang : Status gizi adalah keadaan tubuh sebagai akibat konsumsi makanan dan penggunaan zat-zat gizi , yang dibedakan antara status gizi buruk, kurang, baik dan lebih Kurang gizi akan menyebabkan kegagalan pertumbuhan fisik dan perkembangan kecerdasan, menurunkan daya tahan, kosentrasi meningkatkan kesakitan dan kematian. Pada anak usia sekolah kekurangan gizi akan mengakibatkan anak menjadi lemah, cepat lelah dan sakit - sakitan sehingga anak seringkali absen serta mengalami kesulitan mengikuti dan memahami pelajaran. Akibat dari status gizi kurang adalah perkembangan otak yang tidak sempurna yang menyebabkan kognitif dan perkembangan IQ yang terhambat dan kemampuan belajar terganggu yang selanjutnya berpengaruh pada prestasi belajar siswa.&#13;
Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara status gizi dengan  prestasi pada anak berusia 11-15 tahun di panti asuhan Al-Muhajirin.&#13;
Metode : penelitian observasi analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional, dengan menggunakan data primer  dan melakukan pengukuran langsung di MTs Al-Muhajirin tahun 2013/2014. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa/siswi yang tinggal di panti asuhan Al-Muhajirin dengan besar sampel 53 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling.&#13;
Hasil : Dari hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan Antara status gizi dengan prestasi pada anak umur 11- 15 tahun dipanti asuhan Al-Muhajirin. Hasil uji statistik spearman menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan Antara status gizi dengan prestasi anak umur 11-15 tahun di panti asuhan Al-Muhajirin (P&gt;0,05)&#13;
Kesimpulan : Status gizi tidak mempengaruhi prestasi anak umur 11-15 tahun di panti asuhan Al-Muhajirin.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;

Background : Nutritional status is a condition of the body as the result of food consumption and the use of nutrients, which can be differentiated as malnutrition, less nutrition, and over nutrition.  Malnutrition will cause the failure of physical growth and intellectual development, decrease the concentration and the endurance of the body and increase the debility chance and mortality. In school-age children malnutrition will cause children to be weak, tired earlier and get diseased. So that they are often absent and have difficulty in following and understanding the lessons. As the result of malnutrition, there will be an incomplete brain development, which causes the cognitive and IQ development to be obstructed and learning competence to be hampered, that in turn will affect studentsâ€™ achievement.&#13;
Objective : to determine the correlation between nutritional status and the studentsâ€™ achievement of 11st â€“ 15th aged children at Orphanage Al-Muhajirin&#13;
Method : the method used was analytical observation with cross sectional approach by using primer data and direct measurement at MTs Al-Muhajirin 2013/2014. The subjects of the research were the students whom are living at Orphanage Al-Muhajirin with the samples were 53 students included. The method of taking sample was total sampling. &#13;
Result : the result of the research shows that there is no correlation between nutritional status and studentsâ€™ achievement of the 11st â€“ 15th aged students at Orphanage Al-Muhajirin. The result of spearman statistical test shows that there is no correlation  between nutritional status and studentsâ€™ achievement of the 11st â€“ 15th aged students at Orphanage Al-Muhajirin (p&gt;0.05). &#13;
Conclusion : Nutritional status doesnâ€™t affect studentsâ€™ achievement of the 11st â€“ 15th aged students at Orphanage Al-Muhajirin.&#13;
