xiii , 47 hlm ; 29 cm ABSTRACT Background: In education, there are two kinds of learning patterns that Teacher Centered Learning (TCL) and the Student Centered Learning (SCL). On learning system TCL models, more melakuakan lecturer teaching and learning activities in the form of lectures. Because the TCL learning system found many flaws, the system was changed to Student Centered Learning (SCL). In the SCL learning system, students are encouraged to have a motivation in itself then strive achieve the desired competence. SCL has many methods one of which is a type of jigsaw cooperative learning. Jigsaw is a type of cooperative learning can enhance students' sense of responsibility for their own learning and the learning of others and to improve the working attitude together cooperatively to study the assigned material. Methods: This research method is to use a quasi-experimental Nonequivalent contol posttest group design. Samples in this study is characterized by the average value of tutorials to equalize skills possessed the control group and the experimental group . Differences in the 2nd group is the experimental group had discussions with experts using a jigsaw and the control group did not . Results: Analysis of data using the t test with Independent - Samples T Test, obtained probability value ( 0,021 < 0,05 ) then the hypothesis is accepted . The results of the posttest in the experimental group and the control group had an average difference is significant at 8.8667 Conclusion: The application of jigsaw cooperative learning can improve student grades tutorial level 2 courses of Medicine Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences University Tadulako . Pada sistem pembelajaran model TCL, dosen lebih banyak melakuakan kegiatan belajar mengajar dengan bentuk ceramah. Karena sistem pembelajaran TCL ditemukan banyak kelemahan, maka sistem diubah menjadi Student Centered Learning (SCL). Pada sistem pembelajaran SCL, mahasiswa didorong untuk memiliki motivasi dalam dirinya sendiri kemudian berupaya keras mencapai kompetensi yang diinginkan. SCL memiliki banyak metode salah satunya adalah cooperative learning tipe jigsaw. Belajar kooperatif tipe jigsaw adalah dapat meningkatkan rasa tanggung jawab siswa terhadap pembelajarannya sendiri dan juga pembelajaran orang lain serta dapat meningkatkan sikap kerja sama secara kooperatif untuk mempelajari materi yang ditugaskan. Metode: Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan Nonequivalent posttest contol group design. Sampel pada penelitian ini di karakteristikan berdasarkan rata-rata nilai tutorial untuk menyetarakan keterampilan yang dimiliki kelompok kontrol maupun kelompok eksperimen. Perbedaan ke-2 kelompok ialah kelompok eksperimen melakukan diskusi ahli dengan menggunakan metode jigsaw dan kelompok kontrol tidak. Hasil: Analisis data menggunakan uji t dengan Independent-Samples T Test, diperoleh nilai probabilitas (0,021 < 0,05 ) maka hipotesis diterima. Hasil nilai posttest pada kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol memiliki perbedaan rata-rata yang bermakna yaitu 8,8667. Kesimpulan: Penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat meningkatkan nilai tutorial mahasiswa tingkat 2 program studi Kedoktean Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Tadulako.
