 <note>ABSTRACT&#13;
Background: Water is a substance that is most important in life after the air. The main problem that must be faced in water treatment is the increasing levels of water pollution, either pollution from household waste water and industrial waste, so that new efforts are made to obtain a source of water, especially to get the drinking water that meets requirements has been established.&#13;
Metode: The study is an observational research studies with sample taken by using Purposive sampling technique. Determine the water quality done at the Laboratory  by using Most Probable Number (MPN) methods &#13;
Result: Results from  examination of coliform obtained all samples did not contain coliform. MPN value  of coliform in concentration of  0,1 ml, 1ml and 10 ml in the samples did not contain E. coli are 0 / 100ml. &#13;
Conclusion: The results of a quantitative analysis of the Most Probable Number (MPN) samples of drinking water in some drinking water in some refreshment stand (place to sell water) at Puskesmas Tawaeli shows all samples did not contain Coliform bacteria (total MPN 0/100 ml). Based on the results of research and reference values that used the samples that tested negative for cpliform are bacteriologicallyl qualify as clean water instead and profer to consumed&#13;

ABSTRAK&#13;
Latar belakang: Air adalah zat yang paling penting dalam kehidupan setelah udara. Masalah utama yang harus dihadapi dalam pengolahan air adalah semakin tingginya tingkat pencemaran air, baik pencemaran yang berasal dari air limbah rumah tangga maupun limbah industri, sehingga upaya-upaya baru terus dilakukan untuk mendapatkan sumber air, khususnya untuk pemenuhan akan air minum yang memenuhi persyaratan yang telah ditetapkan. &#13;
Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dengan studi observasional deskriptif.  Dengan pengambilan sampel secara Purposive sampling. Untuk menentukan kualitas air dilakukan pemeriksaan di Laboratorium Dinas Kesehatan Kota Palu dengan metode Most Probable Number (MPN). &#13;
Hasil:  Hasil dari pemeriksaan coliform didapatkan 6 sampel tidak mengandung coliform. Nilai MPN coliform pada sampel yang dilakukan dengan konsentrasi 0,1 ml, 1 ml dan 10 ml tidak mengandung coliform dengan nilai MPN coliform pada sampel yaitu 0/100ml..&#13;
Kesimpulan: Hasil analisis secara kuantitatif Most Probable Number (MPN) sampel air minum pada beberapa depot air minum di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Tawaeli menunjukkan semua sampel tidak mengandung bakteri Coliform (total MPN  0/100 ml). Maka secara bakteriologi Air Minum Isi Ulang di semua depot telah memenuhi syarat sebagai air minum layak konsumsi.&#13;
