 <note>ABSTRAK&#13;
Latar Belakang. Motivasi adalah kekuatan dari dalam diri individu yang menggerakan dan mengarahkan atau membawa tingkah laku ke tujuan.Sedangkan prestasi akademik adalah penguasaan pengetahuan ketrampilan terhadap mata pelajaran yang dibuktikan melalui tes. Melihat banyaknya mahasiswa sering mengalami kegagalan dalam ujian praktikum ataupun ujian blok sehingga menyebabkan terjadi penurunan motivasi untuk belajar pada blok - blok selanjutnya&#13;
Metode.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional.Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan jumlah sampel 56 mahasiswa kedokteran angkatan 2014 Universitas Tadulako.Instrumenpenelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner dan transkrip nilai.Analisis menggunakan ujiSpearman Test.&#13;
Hasil. Hasil uji Spearman Test menunjukkan nilai p = 0,226. Artinya, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi terhadap prestasi akademik pada mahasiswa Program Studi Kedokteran Angkatan 2014 Fakultas Kedokteran dan Ilmu Kesehatan Universitas Tadulako&#13;
Kesimpulan.Tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan anatara motivasi berprestasi terhadap prestasi akademik.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
Background. Motivation is the power comes from inside of individual that moves and directs  or brings out behaviour to a purpose. Whereas academic achievment is a control of knowledge and skill on lessons that proved out by test. With so many students often experience failure in the practical examination or block examination which next taking down the motivation to learn in the following next blocks.&#13;
Method. This research used cross-sectional design. Sample collecting conducted with purpossive sampling technique with the number of samples were as many as 56 batch 2014 medical students of Tadulako University.The instrumen used in this research was questionnaire and grade transcript. Analysis conducted with Spearman test.&#13;
Result.Spearman test result showed p value = 0,226. It means that there is no significant correlation between motivation towards academic achievment  on medical study program Faculty of Medicine and Health Science Tadulako University.&#13;
Conclussion. There is no significant correlation between motivation towards academic achievment.&#13;
