Specialization on Promotion of Health Public Health Study Program Medicine and Health Sciences Faculty Tadulako University Skripsi, November 2015 Mothering behavior or skill is the role of the mother in parenting and caring for children, instilling good eating habits and inculcates the habit of taking care of personal hygiene (health) in children. According to the results Riskesdas, the prevalence of children under five suffering malnutrition in Indonesia amounted to 13.9%, this has increased from the year 2010 is 13.0%. In Birobuli villages that have new cases of malnutrition more in the amount of 629 cases compared to other villages in Palu city. The purpose of this research to determine the behavior of mothering toddlers’ malnutrition in the region of Public health centers Birobuli. This type of research is qualitative by using triangulation to the informant who has been determined by purposive sampling. Informants consisted of two key informants and the usual 5 informants. The results showed that the mother's knowledge is still relatively low due to the limited knowledge in the care of toddlers. Mother's attitude to a normal course in parenting a toddler, visible from the mother's attitude less consistent in parenting a toddler from eating and nurturing parenting health in toddlers. The act of feeding and nurturing the health of children is relatively low because the mother only relies on previous experience. Mothers can be expected to increase understanding by visiting Posyandu every month, so that mothers can consult about parenting toddlers a good way to cadres and officials of local nutrition.
