Obesitas sentral merupakan masalah global yang dinyatakan sebagai masalah kronis pada orang dewasa dan merupakan risiko utama penyebab berbagai masalah kesehatan. Faktor penyebab terjadinya obesitas sentral salah satunya asupan makan dan rendahnya aktifitas fisik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui “Faktor Risiko Obesitas Sentral Pada Pegawai Usia 30-55 Tahun di Kantor Rektorat Universitas Tadulako Tahun 2016”. Jenis penelitian menggunakan observasional analitik dengan pendekatan studi case control. Jumlah sampel 46 kasus dan 46 kontrol dengan maching jenis kelamin dan rentang usia. Kasus adalah pegawai yang mengalami obesitas sentral sedangkan kontrol adalah pegawai yang tidak obesitas sentral. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor risiko obesitas sentral dengan diperoleh nilai OR masing-masing: asupan energi (OR=33,711; Cl 95%=10,358-109,720), asupan karbohidrat (OR=12,058; Cl 95%=4,451-32,664), asupan lemak (OR=13,778; Cl 95%=4,790-39,631), asupan serat (OR=4,286; Cl 95%=1,790-10,263) dan aktifitas fisik (OR=9,504; Cl 95%=3,486-25,909). Perlunya memperhatikan asupan makanan dan rutin melakukan olahraga yang sesuai kebutuhan agar terjadi keseimbangan positif dalam tubuh.&#13;

Central obesity is a global issue which is stated as a chronic problem in adults and also the main cause for various complication. Two of the many reasons central obesity it happened are food habit and the no exercise lifestyle. The purpuse of this research is to find out the&quot; Risk Factors of Central Obesity on Employee Age 30-55 Years in Office Rectorate Tadulako 2016&quot;. This type of research using analytic observational case control study. Total sample of 46 cases and 46 controls with maching gender and age gap. The subject case are employed which appear to be haring central obesity while the control are those who doesn’t. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique. The results showed that central obesity is a risk factor with OR values obtained respectively: energy intake (OR = 33,711; 95% CI = 10,358 to 109,720), carbohydrate intake (OR = 12,058; 95% CI = 4,451 to 32,664), fat intake (OR = 13,778; 95% CI = 4,790 to 39,631), fiber intake (OR = 4,286; 95% CI = 1,790 to 10,263) and physical activity (OR = 9,504; 95% CI = 3,486 to 25,909). There is a need to pay attention to food diet and regular exercise to keep the body balance and in a good shape.&#13;
