ABSTRACT&#13;

Background: Clove is a plant that is widely available in Indonesia and has potential as a botanical insecticide. Using cloverleaf is today a source of clove oil used in the pharmaceutical, cosmetics, food. Clove leaf extract containing eugenol, saponins, flavonoids and tannins can kill the larvae of Aedes aegypti L.&#13;
Objective: To determine the effectiveness of essential oil extracts from clove leaf (Syzygium aromaticum L.) as a larvicide against Aedes aegypti L.&#13;
Methods: This study uses methods post test only controlled group design.. Samples were third instar larvae of Aedes aegypti L. sampling using purposive sampling method. Data analysis using SPSS analysis program. Kruskal Wallis test was performed initially, followed by post hoc Mann-Whitney test, followed by Probit regression analysis.&#13;
