xvi , 46 hlm ; 29 cm ABSTRACT Background: Laundry hospital is a linen purgatory that equipped with supporting facilities such as washing machines, tools and materials disinfectant, steam machine, dryer, table and ironing board. Laundry units are units that perform processing hospital linen, especially the linen of complementary for bed inpatient. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine and identify the types of aerial bacterias in the laundry installations at Regional General Hospital Undata Palu. Methods: This type of study was an descriptive observational. Sampling technique that used is a probability sampling with simple random sampling.The number of sample is 24 petri dishes, then bacteria isolated, and bacteria identification. Results: On this research, there are 4 types of bacteria, they are 8 of Staphylococcus epidermidis (33.33%), 4 of Staphylococcus aureus (16.66%), 6 of Proteus penneri (25%), and 6 of Serratia mercescens (25%). Conclusion: There was 4 types of bacteria, the majority bacteria was Staphylococcus epidermidis (33.33%), these bacteria are a normal flora which commonly cause infections, especially in patients with a low immunity. ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Laundry rumah sakit adalah tempat penyucian linen yang dilengkapi dengan sarana penunjangnya berupa mesin cuci, alat dan bahan desinfektan, mesin uap, pengering, meja dan meja setrika. Unit laundry merupakan unit yang melakukan pengolahan linen rumah sakit, khususnya linen yang merupakan kelengkapan tempat tidur pasien rawat inap. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui dan mengidentifikasi jenis bakteri udara di instalasi laundry pada Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Undata Palu. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel secara probability sampling dengan cara simple random sampling. Jumlah sampel 24 cawan petri lalu bakteri di isolasi kemudian di identifikasi. Hasil: Pada hasil penelitian terdapat 4 jenis bakteri yaitu, 8 Staphylococcus epidermidis (33,33%), 4 Staphylococcus aureus (16,66%), 6 Proteus penneri (25%), dan 6 Serratia mercescens (25%). Kesimpulan: Didapatkan 4 jenis bakteri, dengan bakteri yang terbanyak adalah Staphylococcus epidermidis (33,33%), bakteri tersebut adalah flora normal yang dimana biasa menyebabkan infeksi terutama pada pasien – pasien dengan imun yang lemah.
