 <note>ABSTRACT&#13;
Background:.The problem of nutrition is the cause of indirect death of mother&#13;
and child that can still be prevented. From the basic Health Research Data&#13;
(Riskesdas) in 2013 throughout Indonesia obtained the incidence of LBW of&#13;
10,2%. This result is slightly lower than Riskesdas in 2010 which amounted to&#13;
11,1%. The higest percentage of low birth weight is in Central Sulawesi province&#13;
(16,9%) and lowest in Northern Sumatera (7,2%). The occurance of low birth&#13;
weight in Central Sulawesi 2015 was 190 children.&#13;
Objective: This study aims to determine the relationship of maternal weight gain&#13;
during pregnancy with low birth weight incidence at Mamboro Community&#13;
Health Center in 2015.&#13;
Methods: This research type is analytic survey, with approach of cross sectional.&#13;
The population of this study were all mothers who gave birth to the low birth&#13;
weight infants category examined at the Mamboro Community Health Centre in&#13;
2015. Subject selections was conducted in nom-random sampling. The dependent&#13;
variable is low birth weight. The independent variable is the maternal weight&#13;
during pregnancy. Data were analyzed using Spearman correlation test.&#13;
Results: A total of 21 pregnant woman (95,4%) had less weight gain and 1&#13;
pregnant women (4,5%) had normal weight gain during pregnancy. The&#13;
prevalence of low birth weight occurrence in Mamboro Puskesmas area in 2015&#13;
are 35 babies.&#13;
Conclusion: There is a significant correlation between maternal weight gain&#13;
during pregnancy incidence at Puskesmas Mamboro in 2015 with p value 0,001 (p&#13;
