Stres merupakan  suatu reaksi individu berupa reaksi fisiologis, psikologis dan  perilaku. Stres  akibat kerja yang dialami pekerja akan berdampak pada penurunan kualitas kerja bahkan menimbulkan suatu penyakit. Profesi perawat sangat rawan terhadap stres, diakibatkan karena adanya tuntutan dari pihak organisasi dan lingkungan pekerjaannya. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian stres kerja pada perawat ruang rawat inap jiwa Rumah Sakit Umum Madani Palu. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain Cross Sectional. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 70 perawat rawat inap dengan teknik pengambilan sampel Total Sampling. Hasil penelitian ada hubungan  umur dengan stres kerja nilai (p=0,011), ada hubungan tingkat pendidikan dengan stres kerja nilai (p=0,007), tidak ada hubungan  masa kerja dengan stres kerja nilai (p=0,329), ada hubungan beban kerja dengan stres kerja nilai (p=0,003), ada hubungan rutinitas dengan stres kerja nilai (p=0,005), tidak ada hubungan antara hubungan interpersonal  dengan stres kerja nilai (p=0,066). Diharapkan manajemen Rumah Sakit agar dapat menyesuaikan karakterististik perawat dengan kapasitas  kerja serta beban kerja harus diseimbangkan antara internal dan eksternal.&#13;

Stress is an individual reaction in the form of a physiological reaction, psychological and behavioral. Occupational stress experienced by workers will impact on the quality of work and even cause a disease. The nursing profession is very prone to stress, caused due to the demands of the organization and the working environment. The aim of research to determine the factors associated with the incidence of occupational stress in nurses inpatient mental General Hospital Madani Palu. This study is a quantitative research with cross sectional design. The samples used were 70 nurses inpatient sampling technique total sampling. The results of the study there was a relationship of age with working stress values (p= 0.011), there is a correlation level of education and work stress values (p= 0.007), there was no relationship working life with work stress values (p= 0.329), there is a relationship workload with stress work values (p= 0.003), there is a relationship routine with work stress values (p= 0.005), there was no correlation between interpersonal relationship with work stress values (p= 0.066). Hospital management is expected to adjust character nurse with the capacity and workload to be balanced between internal and external.&#13;
