 <note>ABSTRAK&#13;
Latar belakang, Air yang dibutuhkan manusia meliputi air layak pakai yang&#13;
bersih dan sehat untuk keperluan memasak, mencuci, dan mandi serta air yang&#13;
layak konsumsi untuk keperluan minum. Air juga dapat berperan sebagai media&#13;
penularan penyakit. Air merupakan media dan lingkungan yang baik untuk&#13;
kehidupan mikroorganisme baik itu mikroorganisme patogen maupun non&#13;
patogen, oleh karenanya timbul pengertian apa yang disebut water borne disease.&#13;
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri pada air minum pedagang&#13;
jajanan siomay di kawasan universitas tadulako tahun 2016.&#13;
Metode. Jenis penelitian adalah observasional deskriptif. Pengambilan sampel&#13;
penelitian menggunakan concecutive sampling yaitu total 10 sampel. Analisis&#13;
kandungan bakteri pada sampel dilakukan pemeriksaan di Laboratorium&#13;
Kesehatan Daerah.&#13;
Hasil. Dari 10 sampel yang diteliti terdapat kontaminasi bakteri pada semua&#13;
sampel. Bakteri yang ditemukan ada 7 jenis bakteri yaitu bakteri Proteus&#13;
vulgaris, Enterobacter agglomerans, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella paratyphi,&#13;
Escherichia coli, Proteus penneri, dan Providencia alcalifaciens pada air minum&#13;
pedagang jajanan siomay di kawasan universitas tadulako tahun 2016.&#13;
Kesimpulan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada air minum pedagang jajanan siomay&#13;
di kawasan universitas tadulako terdapat kontaminasi bakteri. dan dinyatakan&#13;
tidak layak konsumsi.&#13;

ABSTRACT&#13;
Background. Water is used by human on many purposes. Clean, safe water is a&#13;
basic necessity for cooking, washing, and bathing, potable water is also crucially&#13;
necessary for drinking.However, water is prone to be the chief medium of the&#13;
spread of diseases. Water is also an essential medium for both pathogenic and&#13;
non-pathogenic living organisms. The term 'waterborne disease' refers to diseases&#13;
caused by the bacteria in the water.This research aims to identify bacteria found&#13;
in drinking water provided by siomay street vendors operating in Tadulako&#13;
University's campus area year 2016.&#13;
Method.The type of research is observational descriptive. Research samples are&#13;
collected using concecutive sampling which involves 10 samples in total. Analysis&#13;
on the bacterial containment of the sample undergoes examination conducted in&#13;
district health laboratory.&#13;
Results. from 10 samples under study there was bacterial contamination in all&#13;
samples. There are 7 types of bacteria found, such as Proteus vulgaris ,&#13;
Enterobacter agglomerans, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella paratyphi, Escherichia&#13;
coli, Proteus penneri, and Providencia alcalifaciens in drinking water provided&#13;
by siomay vendors in tadulako university area.&#13;
Conclusion. It can be concluded that in Drinking water provided by siomay&#13;
vendor in tadulako university is contaminated with bacterial. And declared not&#13;
feasible to be consume.&#13;
