ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Infeksi nosokomial masih menjadi perhatian di dunia kesehatan. Infeksi nosokomial disebarkan melalui kontak langsung yang kerap dibawa melalui tangan para petugas pelayanan kesehatan, dapat pula melalui udara maupun fasilitas ruangan yang terkontaminasi bakteri. Tindakan yang paling dasar dalam mempertahankan hygiene yaitu menjaga kebersihan tangan petugas kebersihan dilingkungan rumah sakit. Cuci tangan adalah cara terpenting dalam mencegah penularan agen infeksius antar manusia atau dari daerah yang memiliki kandungan mikroba tinggi.
Tujuan: Untuk mengidentifikasi bakteri pada telapak tangan tenaga kebersihan di ruang rawat inap Rumah Sakit Undata Palu tahun 2016.
Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian studi observasional deskriptif. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah tenaga kebersihan di Ruang Rawat Inap RSUD Undata Palu.
Hasil: Dari hasil kultur didapatkan 26 sampel mengalami pertumbuhan bakteri, 13 sampel sebelum aktivitas pembersihan terdapat pertumbuhan yaitu Serratia sp., Eschericia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus peneri, Klebsiela sp. dan Shigella dysenterial, kemudian 13 sampel setelah aktivitas pembersihan yaitu Serratia sp., Eschericia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus peneri, Klebsiela sp., Shigella sp., dan Staphylococcus aureus.
Kesimpulan: Pada tangan tenaga kebersihan terdapat berbagai macam bakteri antara lain 6 sampel untuk Serratia sp., 5 sampel untuk Eschericia coli, 4 sampel Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 3 sampel untuk Proteus peneri, 2 sampel untuk Klebsiela sp., 1 sampel untuk Shigella dysenterial, 2 sampel untuk Shigella sp. dan 3 sampel untuk Staphylococcus aureus.

ABSTRACT
Background: Nosocomial infections are still a concern in the world of health. Nosocomial infections are spread through direct contact which often brought through the hands of the health workers, also can be through the air or room facilities contaminated bacteria. The most basic actions in maintaining hygiene is to keep the unit cleaners palm in hospital clean. Hand-washing is the most important way to prevent the transmission of infectious agents between human or from areas which have a high content of microbes. Objective: To identify the bacteria on the palm of unit cleaner hygiene in Hospital inpatient Undata Palu 2016. Method: This research used observational methods with descriptive approach. The technique of sampling was purposive sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. The sample of this research is unit cleaners in Inpatient hospital Undata Palu.
Result: The results of cultures bacteria on the 26 sample obtained a growth of bacteria. 13 samples before the cleaning activity which have the growth are Serratia sp., Eschericia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus penneri, Klebsiela sp. and Shigella dysenterial, then 13 samples after the cleaning activity are Serratia sp., Eschericia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus peneri, Klebsiela sp., Shigella sp. and Staphylococcus aureus.
Conclussion: From the health workers palm there are various bacteria and they are 6 samples for Serratia sp., 5 samples for Escherecia coli, 4 samples for Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 3 samples for Proteus peneri, 2 samples for Klebsiella sp., 1 sample for Shigella dysenterial, 2 samples for Shigella sp., and 3 samples for Staphylococcus aureus.
