Dengue hemorrhagic fever incidence is increasing over the last few years. There were 2045 cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever in Central Sulawesi. Palu was the higgest number with 1061 cases, specifically in Birobuli Sub-district there were 55 cases. This research was to find out the correlation between prevention effort and dengue hemorrhagic fever incidence in North Birobuli Sub-district, South Palu District, Palu City. The research design was an observational analytical with cross sectional study approach. There were 79 samples, wich were retrieved by purposive sampling technique. The results show that there are correlations among education level, cleaning water container, covering water container, burying solid waste disposal, using mosquito net, using insecticides spray, each of them has p < 0.05. Knowledge about how to prevent dengue hemorrhagic fever is needed by doing intensively public counseling.
